CFL Pass Privacy Policy: Cookies, Ads and Your Data

Last updated: October 24, 2026

This CFL Pass privacy policy explains what information cflpass.com collects, how it is used and the choices you have. CFL Pass is an independent guide to the Canadian Football League. You can read the whole site without an account, and we never ask you for personal details to use it.

Information We Collect

Information you send us

If you email us, we receive your email address, your name if you include it and the content of your message. We use this only to reply to you and to fix any error you report. We do not add you to a mailing list and we do not sell or share your email address.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our hosting server records basic technical data when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, the page you requested and the time of the request. These logs help us keep the site secure and working properly.

Preferences stored in your browser

If you switch between light and dark mode, your choice is saved in your own browser (local storage) so the site remembers it on your next visit. This setting stays on your device and is never sent to us.

Cookies and Advertising

CFL Pass is free to read because it shows ads. Our advertising partners, which currently include Adsterra and may include Google AdSense, use cookies, web beacons and similar technologies to show ads, limit how often you see the same ad and measure how ads perform. These partners may receive information such as your IP address, browser and device details, and the pages you visit.

Third party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and other sites on the internet.
You can opt out of personalized advertising from Google in Google Ads Settings, and from many other vendors at aboutads.info.
Learn more in how Google uses information from sites that use its services and in the Adsterra privacy policy.

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site will still work, although the ads you see may be less relevant.

Affiliate Links

Some pages contain affiliate links to streaming services. When you click one, the partner may set a cookie to record that the visit came from CFL Pass. We may earn a commission if you sign up, at no extra cost to you. We do not receive your payment or account details.

How We Use Information

to run, secure and improve the website;
to answer your messages and correct errors you report;
to show ads that keep the site free.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for any purpose other than those listed above.

How Long We Keep Information

We keep emails only as long as we need them to handle your request. Server logs are kept for a limited time for security and are then deleted. Advertising partners keep data according to their own policies.

Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, including Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom or the European Union, you may have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to correct it or to have it deleted. To make a request, please write to us through our contact page. We will answer within a reasonable time.

Data Security

The site is served over a secure HTTPS connection, and we take reasonable steps to protect the little information we hold. No method of sending or storing data online is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Links to Other Websites

Our guides link to official league, team and broadcaster websites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, so please read their policies when you visit them.

Children’s Privacy

CFL Pass is a general audience website and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this CFL Pass privacy policy when our services or the law change. The date at the top of this page shows the latest version. Please also read our Terms of Use and Disclaimer, and if you have any questions, contact us.
