Inside the Alouettes 2026 Season
The season turned into a run in late June. After the overtime loss in Edmonton, Montreal won seven straight from Week 4 through Week 12, moving from 2-1 to 9-1 before Winnipeg ended it on August 28.
Quarterback Davis Alexander set a CFL record along the way. In the 38-32 win at Calgary on July 18 he passed Darian Durant for most consecutive pass attempts without an interception, reaching 336 against Durant’s 323, a streak that stretched back to July 2025. He threw for 402 yards that night, his sixth straight 300 yard game to open the season.
Tyson Philpot had the single best afternoon of any Alouette this year on October 3, catching 11 passes for 207 yards and breaking three records in one game. He became the franchise’s single season receptions leader, passing Ben Cahoon and Jamel Richardson, then broke Terry Evanshen’s record for receiving yards by a Canadian in a CFL season, then passed Brad Sinopoli for most single season catches by a Canadian receiver in league history.
