Why the Blue Bombers Schedule Had Ten Home Games
Toronto’s BMO Field hosted FIFA World Cup matches in 2026, so the Argonauts gave up three home dates. One of them was played at Princess Auto Stadium on Friday, July 10, and counted as a Winnipeg home game. The Bombers won it 30-21.
That gave Winnipeg ten home games and eight on the road. It also front loaded the home schedule: eight of the ten were played by September 12, and the last home date was the 33-28 win over Calgary on October 10. The final two weeks are both away.

Blue Bombers 2026 Playoff Picture
Four West teams reach the playoffs this year. Hamilton and Ottawa are both out, so the fourth place team in the West crosses over and takes the East’s third place, playing at Toronto in the East Semi-Final. Edmonton and BC clinched early; Saskatchewan took third, and Winnipeg edged Calgary for fourth on the head-to-head tiebreaker (2-1), so the Bombers cross over and play at Toronto.
Head to head results decide ties on points, and Winnipeg has done well in them. The Bombers won two of three against Calgary and split two games with Saskatchewan, winning that series 45-38 on aggregate points.

August brought the best home performance of the year, a 44-28 win over Montreal on August 28. The closing stretch has been uneven: a two point home loss to Toronto, a 37-10 defeat in Montreal, then a 33-28 win over Calgary on October 10 that kept the Bombers level on points with their two rivals going into the last two weeks. A 34-10 win at BC on October 23 then sealed the crossover spot.
